Embracing Technology with the SRS Funeral Technology Suite
“I think one of the biggest challenges facing our team at Holloway Funeral Home has been the ability to embrace technology while creating meaningful relationships with the families that we serve. SRS has been an integral part of that and making sure that we have the tools necessary to our team in order to serve families well. In what we do, there’s one chance to get it right, and SRS really helps us to do that on the first time.”
Staying Organized with Barcoding
“Initially, we were drawn to SRS through the Barcoding. As our crematory operations grew in recent years, we depended more and more on that Barcoding system to ensure proper identity, chain of custody, and processing and caring for families that have entrusted their loved ones to us. From the time we go on a transfer to the time that we return an urn to a family or conduct a burial, that Barcode is important in what we do.”
Accessing Information Anytime, Anywhere with 9Online
“More recently, some of the features that we’ve taken advantage of include 9Online, where our directors are able to access SRS information from home and anywhere and on the fly. Having that information at their fingertips allows us to better connect with families and really allows us to an ease on an installation of we don’t have to install SRS on every single computer, so that’s a lot easier on our IT team.”
Receiving Family Signatures Virtually Through the E-Signature Tool
“Additionally, especially as we’ve gotten into COVID and more challenges in connecting with families through virtual arrangements, using E-Signature to collect documents has been a really easy way to connect with families and make the process of caring for their loved ones seamless. SRS has provided great instructions and an easy platform to do that with E-Signature. And even families that are maybe not as quite familiar with computers and technology can still perform the E-Signature with ease.”
Reducing Tedious Tasks with Their SRS Website
“We’ve recently also moved our website to SRS’ platform as well. We have four different websites including our pet services, that the website has allowed for ease of entry of information. Less redundant entry for our team. And allows to make edits on the fly with a really modern interface that’s easy to use by our team and the families we serve.
The website also allows for great features for starting plans online, which then deposit those arrangements right into the SRS holding tank. And it’s really been a great way for us to gather the information from families, whether advanced planning, at need, or imminent need, and allows us to then reach out to the family and begin making that relationship from the first step. The website allows for great revenue generation and connecting families for floral sales with some of the best florists in our area.”
Collecting Funeral Payments Online with E-Pay
“And finally, we’ve started to take advantage of SRS’ E-Pay, which is really important part of, of course, collecting that payment with ease. Being able to send electronic invoices to families for payment right through the system. Again, reducing entry and making it a lot easier on our accounting team as well.”
Looking Forward to the Years to Come
“We certainly couldn’t do what we do and experience the growth that we’ve had without the tools in our tool belt from SRS. With their support and training over the years, it’s allowed us to really implement a lot of the features that we depend on day to day with SRS. And so, we’re really excited about the features and hope to continue to utilize them in the years to come as well.”
